The Village of Duffus is located near the Moray Coast approximately six miles from the town of Elgin with the Air Force Bases at Lossiemouth and Kinloss in close proximity. Gordonstoun School, where several members of the Royal Family have been educated, is virtually across the road from the Inn and Parents, Pupils and Teachers certainly contribute to trade at the Inn.

The village has a population of around 600 people, many of whom are regulars, but it is the reputation for food which draws trade from all over this area of Scotland.

Taking over around four years ago, the present owners have steadily built a reputation for quality of service and have been successful in increasing the turnover on a year to year basis.
